Where can I access my Exoid recording files after installing ECS version 1.4?

The location of your saved Exoid recording files may have changed. Here's where to find them and how to access them in the Izon Data Suite (IDS).

Where are my Exoid recording files stored?

Following the installation of the Exoid Control Suite (ECS) version 1.4, all recording files (.idfs) are now saved in the Exoid Data folder – found under your logged in users Documents directory (C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Exoid Data).

With ECS versions prior to 1.4, these recording files (.idfs) were stored in one of two locations: in the root directory of the C drive (C:\Exoid Data) or the Documents directory.

What does this mean for accessing Exoid recording files in the Izon Data Suite?

In the IDS, selecting “Open Data Files” in the top left corner will automatically take you to a pinned Exoid Data folder.

This folder is in the root directory of the C drive and will not contain any recording files saved after the installation of ECS V1.4.

To access these saved recording files, you will need to navigate to your logged in users Documents directory (C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Exoid Data) to retrieve these recording files.

How can I change which folder is pinned in the Izon Data Suite?

You can change the pinned Exoid Data folder by clicking on the downward arrow on the right-hand side of the "Open Data Files" button, shown in Figure 1.
