How can I get the latest Exoid Control Suite software release?

Complimentary software upgrades are part of your Exoid package.

The Exoid Control Suite (ECS) is the software used to control the Exoid instrument and generate measurement data.

To access the latest ECS version, download the latest Exoid Control Suite software release here.

Following installation, you will need to make sure your VCA firmware is up-to-date by following these instructions.

If your download does not start using Google Chrome, please use an alternate browser to download this software.

For 21 CFR Part 11 users, DO NOT download the software. Contact Izon Support for more information on the latest version of 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software.

The latest Exoid Control Suite update (V1.4) includes:

General:

Fixed two root causes of VCA freezes
Various bug fixes and aesthetic changes
Added 41 mm and 47 mm stretch buttons

Various back-end changes to improve sleep management and logging

User Interface:

Addition of measurement summary screen. The particle rate is shown at different pressures, allowing the user to retry the measurement or proceed. Mean particle rate on each prior recording is also displayed during the measurement.

Improved nanopore setup flow so the user is not forced to stretch down and take off nanopore if it is working correctly after wetting.

Banner added to show investigation and sample/calibration details

Sample details screen now displayed immediately before sample measurement

Electrolyte dropdown now displayed on Investigation Details screen

Trace is full screen by default

Addition of maximum particle count dropdown for sample recordings, allowing users to select the maximum number of sample blockades they would like to capture

Added help text for pressure, voltage, and stretch parameters

Expanded known size range of CPC400s and CPC70s to reflect current batch sizes

Cleaning times reduced

Fixed issue with histogram scaling; now defaults to 1 nA or max blockade size, whichever is larger. Can no longer drag the graph independently from the axis.

Default trace Y axis zoom is now 0.2 nA between steps

“Load Calibration File” button in Investigation Details renamed to “Load Characterisation File”

Various updates to resource file including phrasing changes to allow for a clearer user experience

Improved timing of screen transitions

System parameters input fields are now always visible, check boxes moved to the right

Fixed bug causing maximum pressure to be applied to system when particles are loaded after performing manual nanopore setup

Window size is set automatically to prevent cutting off content

Halo lights turn red when ECS is closed

Advanced Interface Only:

System parameters are now editable when a recording is paused

Particle count now respects recording pause and will not increase until recording has been resumed

Hid redundant VCA testing button, VCA testing is performed using the VCA tester

APS “Standby” button now says “Zero” to set the APS to 0 Pa

Disable UI while Advanced Interface is open to prevent internal conflicts
