My Exoid shows no trace in the display when running. How can I fix this?

Communication between the VCA and the software has been interrupted, this can be re-established by changing the voltage setting (this may need to be completed more than once). If the trace still does not appear:

  1. Click on the connection icon under the picture of the Exoid (if you are in full screen mode click the Reduced Size button for this to be visible).
  2. Click the Disconnect button under the VCA heading.
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Click the Connect button under the VCA heading to reconnect.
  5. The trace should start running again, click OK to return to the measurement screen.

If this does not fix the issue, perform a full system reset:

  1. Disconnect the power to the Exoid and remove the USB cable from the instrument. 
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the Exoid.
  4. Plug the USB cable back into the Exoid.
  5. Ensure the instrument connects to the software, visually indicated by the word CONNECTED on the ECS Homepage, fill in the investigation details and select Start Analysis. The trace should now be visible.
