How should I clean my qEV columns for reuse in omics research?

When cleaning your qEV columns, it is important to take extra precautions if contamination is a concern for downstream applications. Our cleaning protocol is sufficient to ensure that no carryover protein is detected using a BCA Protein Assay when using the protein-rich sample of human plasma. If you are concerned about carryover, we encourage you to use protein assays to ensure that no protein remains in the column after cleaning.

However, as protein assays are not as sensitive as omics technologies, when performing omics analysis or other highly sensitive assays we recommend either:

1. Treating qEV columns as single-use columns
2. Developing your own more stringent cleaning protocol which you can verify fully removes any carryover proteins/RNA/DNA.
