How do I filter and degas buffer?
Buffer used in both qEV columns and TRPS should be filtered and degassed prior to use. Buffer should be filtered through a 0.22 µm cellulose filter. This can be either a syringe filter for small quantities or filter paper for the vacuum filtration of large volumes.
Following filtration, buffer should be degassed either under vacuum or in an ultrasonic bath for ~15 minutes to reduce the likelihood of bubbles precipitating inside the column or fluid cell and disrupting the run.
For best results buffer should be freshly filtered and degassed daily before use.
