How do I clean the qEV2 and qEV10 reservoirs?

Dust and lint can get trapped in the frit of the reservoirs for the qEV2 or qEV10, if this occurs, follow the steps below to remove, clean and reinsert the frit:

1. Remove the frit from the reservoir. this can be achieved by blowing compressed air up the reservoir neck to dislodge the frit, then removing it with tweezers.
2. Clean the frit by soaking it in 70% EtOH or 0.5 M NaOH.
3. Soak the frit in DI water after cleaning.
4. Reinsert the frit firmly in the bottom of the reservoir by pushing down with a blunt object, such as a 15 mL Falcon tube.

The reservoir can be cleaned by washing with either 70% EtOH or 0.5 M NaOH, then rinsing with DI water.
