      How do I apply vacuum with the VPM?

      To apply vacuum to the qNano using the VPM, follow the procedure below. You will need to repeat the full procedure each time you apply a vacuum.

       

      1. Rotate the plunger until the "VAC" pressure scale is visible.

      How do I apply vacuum with the VPM?

      2. Open the vent valve.

      3. Connect the VPM nozzle to the top of the fluid cell (via the fluid cell cap).

      When inserting and removing the VPM nozzle from the fluid cell, rotate the nozzle slightly in a clockwise direction. 

      4. Check the vacuum "VAC" scale is set to zero.

      5. Close the vent valve.

      6. Pull out the plunger to apply a vacuum. In the below image, 10 mBar of vacuum is being applied.
